Course content

Research undertaken includes the identification, duration and impact of global bioevents from the geological record, the taxonomy and ecology of foraminifera, the elucidation and nature of past climatic and oceanographic change from fossil, stable isotope and trace element geochemistry using a holistic approach through integrating the sedimentary, fossil and isotope records. Our interests also encompass other areas within Earth science including the Quaternary record in terms of sedimentary basin, palaeolimnology and landscape evolution in response to climate change and tectonics.
