Course content

This course focuses on best practice in management, leadership and hospitality while developing an international focus. QMU’s mission is ‘to enhance the well-being of individuals and the communities we serve through socially and
economically relevant education and research’. The MSc reflects this mission through its underpinning and distinctive identity focusing on contemporary management practice and community engagement and service. It reflects best practice and is led by academic staff who have the experience of leadership roles within the sector, regularly publish and have strong connections to the Institute of Hospitality, the Tourism Society, the Scottish Tourism Forum, and the Hospitality Industry Trust.

QMU has replaced the traditional dissertation with a student-led project or event. By designing, leading and reflecting upon a project attached to a community, charity or third sector enterprise, your management and leadership skills will be developed within a hospitality setting.

Our MSc is specifically designed for anyone who may be looking to complement their non-business degree and have little or no prior business background. Or you may have completed to general degree level and are aiming to enhance your qualifications.
