Course content

As part of the QMU Advancing Practice in Health Framework we are able to offer a flexible, modular route to allow for a more personalised educational journey which can lead to a PgCert/PgDip/MSc Advancing Practice in Health award.

This option may be of particular interest to those who already hold a master's award or who wish to study modules in a particular area of practice.

The Advancing Practice in Health award pathway offers flexibility in module choice and modes of study (full-time, part-time, work place) that are responsive to individual needs and today’s culture of work and learning.

All modules are online and can be accessed on an individual (single) module basis.

Additional support is available for those new to or returning to master's level study.

The Advancing Practice in Health award pathway is based on a model of collaborative multi-professional learning aligned to expectations of the four pillars of advanced practice (Clinical Practice, Leadership, Education and Research). There are learning opportunities in areas such as fundamentals of advanced practice, critical analysis, evaluation and research methodologies, as well as a number of more specific modules. The Framework also offers opportunities to draw on expertise across the University such as business management, leadership, social science and education.
