Entry requirements

Students accepted for postgraduate study usually have a first, or good upper-second class, honours degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a British university, or the equivalent from an overseas university.

With many international collaborations, our research groups have a worldwide reputation for research in: astrophysics; experimental particle physics; superstring theory and quantum gravity; quantum foundations; statistical fluid mechanics; theoretical and experimental research in molecular materials physics.
