ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum academic requirement for admission to a research degree programme is normally an Upper Second Class Honours degree from a UK or ROI HE provider, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University. Further information can be obtained by contacting the School.

The Institute of Irish Studies at Queen's has a long-established international reputation for interdisciplinary research exploring the social, political, cultural and geographical factors that have influenced the people of this island and its diasporas. Research is conducted into the physical and political environment of the north of Ireland, mapping its unique influence on wider Irish and British identities.
