A 2.1 Honours degree or above or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in a subject area other than Theology or Divinity.

Course content
This programme of study aims to offer substantial study of key theological themes at an advanced level. On completion of studies each student on the programme is expected to have:
- Developed a specialised understanding of a theological area chosen under the guidance of a supervisor
- Demonstrated evidence of wide and independent reading
- Developed research skills through engaging in an extended supervised dissertation
On completion of studies each student on the Graduate Diploma programme is expected to have:
- Demonstrated evidence of wide and independent reading in Theology
- Developed a knowledge and understanding of some of the theoretical and practical approaches in Theology
- Developed skills in critical analysis with particular reference to Theology
- A broad foundation in theological study
