The Cross-Border LLM in Human Rights and Criminal Justice is designed to allow students to benefit from research and study in two jurisdictions. By having access to academic staff and research facilities in Belfast and Galway, students are given the possibility to develop and understand a number of perspectives of the study of human rights law.

The School of Law has developed special expertise in a number of areas which allow it to offer a range of taught programmes. Research and teaching in criminology and criminal justice are conducted through the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice within the School.
