Entry requirements

Applicants normally hold a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in any NON-Computing discipline.

Applicants with a lower degree classification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

International students who do not meet our direct entry requirements for this course can gain additional entry points through our International College at Robert Gordon University.

Course content

The course provides an opportunity to develop the skills suitable for a career in Computing with specialist subjects in cyber security, enabling students to learn how to create and manage secure computer systems.

It allows those who wish to apply their knowledge and expertise in a technical environment to develop the cyber security skills required to develop and maintain secure computer systems and the computing skills needed to match software solutions to the needs of business. The course is suitable for graduates wishing to transition into an IT career from other disciplines, as well as for candidates wishing to extend their existing IT experience with a formal Computing qualification.

This course is available to study full-time or part-time. The part-time mode is ideal if you would like to develop your career but are unable to commit to full time study.

Information for international students

Postgraduate courses normally require an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all 4 components. Some of our courses require a different level of English. Please check our course pages for specific details. Test reports are valid for a period of 2 years and can be used as proof of English for admission if valid on the start date of your course.
