This course is ideal for students who possess a first degree in any non-computing discipline. Other qualifications and experience will be considered with entry being subject to the University's judgement that the person has reasonable expectation of being able to fulfil the requirements of the award.
All international students, for whom English is not their first language, must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 6.0 or its equivalent prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.
Months of entry
The course provides an opportunity for graduates of non-computing disciplines to develop the specialist skills suitable for a career in Computing. It allows those who wish to apply their knowledge and expertise in a technical environment to develop the core computing skills needed to do so.
You will develop skills in software development, database systems, network management and web programming, as well as the research and development skills required to undertake a sustained piece of software project work. The Software Project Engineering, Cisco modules and MSc Project modules are of particular value to employers.
This course is available to study full-time or part-time. The part-time mode is ideal if you would like to develop your career but are unable to commit to full time study.
