Course content

This professional short course is aimed at public relations practitioners who have a responsibility for crisis management and business recovery strategies and/or implementation.

The Specialist Diploma will help you to understand the impact of a crisis, how it damages reputation and how it can be mitigated. You will develop an understanding of potential causes which could lead to the need for crisis management.
The course will cover various topics including:
  • Crisis-prone behaviour
  • Management styles
  • Different levels and impacts of crisis
  • Issues management
  • Reputation (vulnerabilities and opportunities)
  • Influencing strategies to avoid or avert a crisis

Information for international students

Postgraduate courses normally require an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in all 4 components. Some of our courses require a different level of English. Please check our course pages for specific details. Test reports are valid for a period of 2 years and can be used as proof of English for admission if valid on the start date of your course.
