Entry requirements

The minimum entry requirement for a PhD degree is the equivalent of a UK second class honours degree in an appropriate subject, although in many cases a qualification at MSci or MSc (masters) level would be desirable.

Course content

A medium sized (21 full-time academic staff) department occupying the modern McCrea Building with excellent facilities for teaching and research. Good office space and computing facilities available for our many postgraduate students. See also entry in Physics section.
