Entry requirements

We normally expect you to have a relevant masters degree and significant appropriate professional experience. A key consideration is motivation and the ability to sustain in-depth study at a high level. You also need intellectual curiosity, analytical skills, and an interest in contributing to educational knowledge and improving practice. If English is not your first language, you need an IELTS score of at least 7.0. Course content

Conduct advanced-level study and research into education that develops your own professional practice with a specialist doctorate. You significantly deepen your knowledge of aspects of policy and practice in education and produce a thesis, an original contribution to knowledge, which can help to advance both your career and the field of education itself.

• Suitable for professionals in education, training and allied fields.
• Develop your research practice through advanced study and research.
• Complete a 50-60,000 word thesis and four modules.
• Produce work which makes an original contribution to your area of professional practice
