Entry requirements

Normally an honours degree, or equivalent, in a suitable subject. If you have suitable qualifications or experience you may be exempt from some modules. If English is not your first language you will need an IELTS 6.5 score with a minimum of 5.5 in all skills or equivalent. If your English language skill is currently below IELTS 6.5 or equivalent we recommend you consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable you to achieve an equivalent English score

Course content

Develop a career in social science research on this wide-reaching programme. All courses offer new and established researchers the training in research methods and methodologies and vocational qualifications required to gain research-orientated work. The research-based dissertation you complete may also become a pilot study towards a PhD.
