Southampton Solent University’s MBA programme will help you to improve your understanding of four key areas of business: marketing, operations, HR management and finance. You’ll graduate having learnt to think critically about a broad range of business issues, using your knowledge to reach creative solutions for day-to-day business management problems.
Students will study a diverse range of units throughout the MBA programme. These include units in enhanced leadership, financial decision making, marketing, innovation and managerial economics. The regular curriculum is complemented by guest lectures, networking events and live client projects, giving students a genuine insight into the corporate workplace.
Students work alongside an academic team with experience in many different industries. Final project supervisors are assigned to students based on the topic they wish to study, ensuring that each student receives the specialised guidance required to succeed.
Entrepreneurs will find a number of support networks and specialist units available to them here at Solent. Our student enterprise centre is equipped to provide mentoring to students who are starting their own business, helping them to navigate any issues that they may encounter along the way. Within the MBA programme itself, units in entrepreneurship and enterprise cover the essential planning, fundraising and marketing skills that students will need to get their business off to the right start.
