Course content

Looking to bridge the gap between technology and management? At Staffordshire University, develop the knowledge and skills needed to forward your career in Business Computing.

Business computing is pivotal in the understanding of how computing technologies can be used to enhance operations within small and large-scale organisations. We offer you the opportunity to specialise in these systems, giving you the skills to become a key driver of business computing in your career.

In the business computing sector, you will need to manage data in a variety of different ways. You will learn how to use data mining tools against a data warehouse to discover new knowledge, using SAP ERP to manage core business functions and AWS to then develop your applications and deploy to the internet.

We are proud members of the SAP University Alliance. In the information systems sector, SAP is one of the world leading designers of enterprise systems, and in our MSc you will get an opportunity to become a specialist in SAP ERP.

Through the expert teaching in our MSc, you will study the fundamentals of IT as a support tool within business. You’ll cover such aspects as systems analysis and design, cloud-based services, database technology, big data, data science, knowledge discovery etc.

Not only do we offer technical knowledge as part of the MSc, we also aim to instil the academic and professional skills required for lifelong learning and development. We cover research methods, communications, critical thinking, and analysis, academic and professional report writing.
