Entry requirements

You must be a graduate holding a UK Honours degree (normally first or second class honours or equivalent), and normally holding an appropriate Masters degree. Have a minimum of 2 years professional experience within a relevant field. You will be required to provide a piece of writing (approx 2000 words) that you have produced on the theme of education. In addition, you will also need to write a succinct and tightly structured 'personal statement' in support of your application.

The Professional Doctorate in Education at Staffordshire University has been specifically designed to meet the demands of professionals working in a widwe range of education and learning settings. As a learner on this programme, you will develop a thorough grounding in the philosophy, principles and practice of educational research and will be supported to critically engage with key contemporary issues affecting all types and sectors of educaiton.
