A 2:1 honours degree (or above) in Computer Science, Mathematics or a closely related discipline. IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component) or equivalent English test.

Course content

The MRes Visual Computing is an ideal preparation for following a career of research or specialism within the area of study. In particular the MRes in Visual Computing seeks to prepare you for further research in the areas of Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, Medical Imaging, and Scientific Visualisation.

You will be self-motivated to undertake substantial individual study, carry out curiosity-driven research to an advanced level, and follow self-study material in advanced topics.

In consultation with your supervisor, you will decide upon your dedicated visual computing topic of research. Your evaluation of current research will be complemented by your own research programme, which is supported by taught courses on useful literature and research skills.
