Entry requirements
We require applicants to hold, or be about to obtain, an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to this funded PhD programme. As competition is tough, many of our applicants also hold a Masters-level qualification.

Course content
The University of Manchester, UK and A*STAR Institutes, Singapore, offer a number of prestigious international PhD studentships for outstanding applicants each year, commencing in September.
The 4 year PhD Programme will require successful applicants to split their time between Manchester and the relevant research institute in Singapore. The Programme will involve two year periods in both Manchester and Singapore. The final PhD degree awarded will be by The University of Manchester.
