Entry requirements

To study MSc, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate you will need a 2(i) (upper second class honours) first degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent qualifications/experience. Applicants with a 2(ii) will be considered and are welcome to apply.

Course content

Modern chemical engineering is a vast subject. As well as dealing with chemical reactors, distillation and the numerous processes that take place in a chemical or petrochemical plant, there is an increasing need for chemical engineers with training in material processing and formulation, biotechnology and environmental issues. This course provides a broad range of specialist Units, meaning that you can tailor the course to your particular career aspirations or interests and learn in depth about subjects of particular relevance to you.

Information for international students

For students whose first language is not English: IELTS 6.5 or higher (with no sub test < 5.5), TOEFL 570 or higher with 5.0 in the TWE or CBTOEFL 230 or higher with 5.0 in the TWE.
