Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their primary dental qualification and Masters degree from a recognised institution.

Course content

The four-year clinical PhD offers those with a recognised dental clinical qualification the opportunity to extend their research studies by undertaking a clinical component in addition to their research programme. A total of three sessions a week will be dedicated to clinical work, which may take a variety of forms.

This innovative programme is currently being offered in the following:

Restorative Dentistry (Endodontics, Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, Periodontology)
Paediatric Dentistry
Oral Surgery
Implant Dentistry
Dental Public Health

Applicants may choose a research programme allied to their clinical programme, or from any other of our clinical or non-clinical research areas.

Information for international students

IELTS of 6.5 with no less than 6 in the written component TOEFL: 577 paper-based 233 computer-based 90 iBT Pearson Test 59-65
