Entry requirements

The Standard requirement for a Masters programme (either taught or research) is an Upper-Second UK Honours Degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant science or engineering discipline. For a Doctorate level programme (eg PhD) it is an Upper-Second UK Honours Degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant science or engineering discipline or a First Degree with an additional UK Masters Degree (or international equivalent).

Course content

Research is directed toward high-pressure /
temperature experimental, field-based and theoretical
studies of topics that are fundamentally significant to
lithospheric processes. The group runs two
laboratories: one for high P/T experimental petrology,
the other for rock deformation studies.

Information for international students

Overseas students would need to demonstrate competence in English Language, for example, IELTS score of 6.5
