Entry requirements

Diploma requirements:

  • A Bachelor degree in Philosophy, Culture Studies, and, or Political Studies. However, students with a Bachelor's degree in a different subject area are also most welcome to apply

English Language proficiency:

  • Academic IELTS: minimum score of 6.5
  • TOEFL Internet based: minimum of 90
  • Cambridge: CPA or CAE

Course content

Philosophy of Contemporary Challenges is a unique, fully English-taught Master's specialization within the Master's program Culture Studies.

In the track Philosophy of Contemporary Challenges you will come to grasp the philosophical and ethical issues that arise with respect to populism, migration, terrorism, inequality, sustainability and the role science and technology play in our society

The MA in Philosophy of Contemporary Challenge learns you to analyze, synthesize and critically question philosophical texts and problems in clear and concise ways and according to high academic standards. You refine your presentation and writing skills and learn how to formulate to the point arguments and evaluate the claims made by others.
