Course content
Historical thinking underpins all the dimensions in our vision. Supporting our student teachers to develop young people\'s ability to think historically by engaging them in the process of historical enquiry is one of the distinctive features of our History PGCE curriculum. The programme is both highly practical and deeply theoretical. It engages student teachers with a wide range of inspirational thinking and outstanding practice in history education. It encourages critical reflection and deep thought about the purpose of history education, the nature of the history curriculum and the value of different pedagogical strategies.
