Global Health and Development: tropEd programme
Entry requirements
Normally a minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in medicine, nursing and other allied heath professions, sciences, humanities and social sciences. Professional experience in the fields of health and development is desirable. An applicant whose qualifications vary from UCL standards may be admitted if evidence of an adequate academic background and work experience in an appropriate field can be shown.
If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency.

Course content
Global Health and Development: tropEd is a route through the Global Health and Development MSc, which combines UCL modules with modules taken at tropEd network institutions in the UK, Europe and around the world. This route maximises professional and educational networking opportunities and international experiences that enhance employability.
At UCL's Institute for Global Health, you will benefit from our cross-disciplinary approach to study. Teaching is led by experts drawn from health policy, economics, philosophy, political science, anthropology, epidemiology and medicine.
The tropEd MSc consists of core and optional modules and a dissertation. The tropEd degree allows you to select optional modules from tropEd network affiliated institutions around the world that the Global Health and Development MSc does not offer.
You will be gain experience that will benefit you in a future career within a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. The programme provides networking opportunities and international experiences as well as mobility across leading international institutions. You will also experience diverse learning styles and perspectives on global health problems.

Assessment
The programme is taught with an emphasis on collaborative and co-operative learning. This is to ensure that students enter the workforce capable of joining projects and programmes with a supportive network of peers. Assessment is through written assignments, unseen written examinations, projects, oral presentations, group work and the written dissertation.
