Second-class UK honours degree, or overseas degree of equivalent standard, or equivalent professional or other qualification gained by written examination. Applicants with alternative qualifications may be asked to take a qualifying exam. You should also preferably have at least 2 years' professional experience relevant to MRes degree studies. You should submit a brief outline of your research interests and field of study.

Course contentActs as valuable preparation for research in the academic community, the public sector or industry. Gives students in-depth knowledge of specialised research skills, a broad understanding of the relationship between research evidence, policy and practice and the ability to evaluate educational research evidence critically, and carry out rigorous research.
