Entry requirements

Second-class UK honours degree, or overseas degree of equivalent standard, or equivalent professional or other qualification gained by written examination. Applicants with alternative qualifications may be asked to take a qualifying exam. You should also preferably have at least 2 years' professional experience relevant to MRes degree studies. You should submit a brief outline of your research interests and field of study.

Course content

Acts as valuable preparation for research in the academic community, the public sector or industry. Gives students in-depth knowledge of specialised research skills, a broad understanding of the relationship between research evidence, policy and practice and the ability to evaluate educational research evidence critically, and carry out rigorous research.

The entry date is October each year, applications are accepted from January to the end of August.
