Entry requirements

You should have a minimum of an upper second class honours degree in a relevant social science discipline. You will receive excellent training in doctoral research methods but will need already to be able to demonstrate abilities in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Students follow a programme of study under the guidance of a supervisor and advisory committee and undertake research methods training.

Department specialisms

An Exploratory Examination of STEM Graduate Programs betweent the United States and England: Comparative Designs and Patterns for Select Minorities. The project is part of a US-UK comparative study into the factors that contribute to successful entrance, matriculation, and completion of Stem.

Applicants who are assessed as International for tuition fee purposes are entitled to apply for this studentship but will be liable for the payment of the difference in fees between Home/EU and International.
