A minimum of a second class Bachelor's degree normally in a subject other than psychology from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency.

Months of entry
The Grad Cert (note: this is not a conversion course) is for students interested in learning a new subject, or wanting to re-train in psychology. You will gain an excellent understanding of some of the theories and methods in the core psychology areas outlined by the British Psychological Society (BPS). You will learn to critically evaluate psychological concepts and data. This is an excellent taster course before completing a follow-up master's degree in psychology.
The programme is taught at the world leading 'Institute of Education' at UCL. The programme is designed to provide modules and lectures that are contemporary, and cutting edge, which offer students the opportunity to develop the necessary key science skills in psychology to meet their academic goals. In order to do this, the programme is structured into weekly interactive sessions that promotes discussion and networking between students and staff that come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.
The certificate is for students interested in learning a new subject area, or are considering re-training in psychology. This qualification enables you to gain a very good understanding of the ideas, theories and methods in the core psychology topics outlined by the British Psychological Society (BPS). You will appraise and critically evaluate psychological concepts and different forms of data. This is an excellent bridge to competing a master's degree in psychology.
