A minimum of an upper second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university, a GPA of 3.3 out of 4.0 (US system), or another overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Degree class requirement could be waived for candidates with other exceptional qualifications, such as substantial professional experience in related fields.
If your education has not been conducted in the English language, you will be expected to demonstrate evidence of an adequate level of English proficiency.
The English language level for this programme is: Special: If you will be taking IELTS (Academic) you will be required to achieve an overall grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. The MA in Museum and Gallery Practice is an immersive, hands-on programme providing students with the knowledge and professional skills required to become a future cultural leader locally in Qatar and internationally.
This programme offers a unique balance of museum theory and practice. All students participate in the Exhibition Project core module to deliver a public exhibition to professional standards in a team environment. Students learn and apply fundamental principles of museum practice such as collections care, text writing, project management, exhibition design and evaluation.
