Course content

It is designed to provide highly-quality research preparation for Arts and Humanities students interested in pursuing doctoral research.
There are a number of core modules and you are expected to gain 120 credits for a Postgraduate Diploma and 180 credits (including a dissertation) for the MRes. Students work on a supervised project of their choice throughout the year. Projects are linked to one of the Faculty's on-going research programmes.

Department specialisms

Research training is offered through a supervised project complemented by modules developing both generic and subject-specific skills.

Information for international students

International students are welcome to apply providing they hold the equivalent of a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject. Unfortunately there is no funding for overseas students.
