Candidates must meet the University's minimum entrance requirements and in addition hold an honours degree at minimum 2.1 or professional equivalence.

Film Makers with industrial experience who have non-standard academic credentials may apply through an Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). Contact the Course Director for further information.

Course content

The MA Media Management and Policy provide students and professionals alike with the opportunity to study current Media Practice underpinned with sound academic theory. Guest lecturers from the highest levels the Media Industry will complement University staff.
There are two strands to the course; practice-based modules in Concept Development, Producing and Media Management and theoretical modules in Distribution, New Media, and Emergent Media forms. Assessment by essay and project.

English language requirements for international applicants
The minimum requirement for this course is Academic IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5. Trinity ISE: Pass at level III also meets this requirement for Tier 4 visa purposes.

Ulster recognises a number of other English language tests and comparable IELTS equivalent scores.
