Course content

This specialist postgraduate award aims to prepare individuals to be operationally and strategically effective in the management of tourism destination organisations. It is thus a specialised management programme, focusing on the development and planning of tourist destinations. A key aspect is to develop a critical awareness of current issues and new insights in the area of professional practice impacting upon destinations and their manifestations in policy and planning initiatives. The programme involves live consultancy project work in an overseas destination, the cost of which is included in the programme fees.

This programme is accredited by the Institute of Hospitality and is approved by the Tourism Management Institute.

IELTS 6.0 with no individual element below 5.5 is required for entry. English language support is provided free of charge to ensure that you achieve the professional standards of English required.
