Entry requirements

A Second Class Honours Grade 1 BCL Degree from the National University of Ireland, or a Second Class Honours LLB Degree from University College Cork, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Law with Honours from U.C.C., or have such other relevant third level educational and/or professional experience as, in the opinion of the Faculty of Law, qualifies the candidate to undertake the LLM degree. The number of places available in any one year is dependent on resources and all qualified candidates may not be admitted. Course content

This offers students a choice of options in areas ranging from Criminal, Medical and Constitutional Law to Commercial, Environmental and Intellectual Property Law. Students may choose to specialise in one or two areas of interest or may prefer to sample units across the broad range of possibilities.
With their chosen units, all LLM students take a course on Law, Policy and Methodology. This option,is unique to UCC Law Faculty, allows students to learn advanced research methods and gives students the opportunity to meet and interact with leading law and policy makers.
