Candidates must have obtained at least a second class Honours degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related technical discipline. The MSc is targeted at candidates holding a strong undergraduate degree in Computer Science and with a passion for computing technology and software development.

Course contentThis MSc programme provides students with the skills required to appreciate the entrepreneurship and innovation required in the software industry. Core material will cover area such as:
Advanced Information Storage and Retrieval;
Case studies in Computing Entrepreneurship;
Large Scale Commercial and Research Application Development;
Project Development skills.
Fees and fundingThis programme received funding from the Government under a major initiative to meet IT skills needs identified by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs. EU Students admitted to this programme in 2009/2010 paid a reduced annual tuition fee of 2,000 euros. A similar fee will be payable in 2010/2011.
