Applicants must have either a primary degree in Economics or an appropriate Higher Diploma in Economics and have attained at least a 2H2 on the aggregate of all Economics courses in the degree or diploma award. Specific requirements are detailed in the College Calendar, Part 2.

This programme develops the knowledge, understanding and skills required for those interested in opening up a career in this exciting area at home and abroad, where theoretical and empirical research combines with communication, advising and decision-making. Career opportunities include professional economists in business and government, in research and consultancy organizations and in third level institutions.
