Entry requirements

Candidates for the MSc in Applied Science (Ecological Assessment) either hold at least a second class Honours, Grade II degree in a Biological Sciences area or an equivalent or related degree relevant; Or have reached an equivalent standard through completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification. The number of places is limited and selection will be made on the candidate's performance in his/her primary degree and experience. Where relevant, candidates will have to prove their proficiency in the English language (spoken and written).

Course content

The MSc in Applied Science (Ecological Assessment) is a multidisciplinary degree running for 12 months from the date of registration. The aim of the programme is to facilitate students to acquire key practical skills in the ecological assessment of terrestrial and freshwater habitats and ecosystems, in order to meet a growing demand for personnel skilled in methods of ecological assessment and to ensure that this process is underpinned by a sound, scientific, theoretical framework.
