Course content

The programme intends to provide a strong basis in ancient Greek language understanding that could form the basis of both vocational and academic progression.

The benefits of the course are linguistic, cultural and philological understandings of ancient Greek texts and language. These skills will enable students to read, translate and interpret ancient Greek material, and provide a linguistic basis for further language learning beyond and within the study of ancient Greek language.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Ancient Greek will offer a range of modules from absolute beginners Greek to complex readings of ancient Greek texts. The format of delivery will be a blend of lectures,seminars and workshop. The programme will focus on learning with further postgraduate study and vocational application in mind.
