Applicants must have at least a lower second class honours degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Some prior study of Psychology at University Undergraduate Level would be preferred, but is not essential.

Course content

The Psychological Studies MSc degree programme is designed to introduce graduates from other disciplines to the study of psychology, and to provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a career in psychology or in other areas where a scientific understanding of human behaviour is important.

The course consists of different modules designed to provide training in all of the core domains of psychology, including the following:

  • Biological psychology
  • Cognitive Psychology
  • Developmental Psychology
  • Individual Differences
  • Social Psychology
  • Research Methods & Data Analysis
