Entry requirements

Normally 2nd-class degree in Politics, International Relations, History, Economics, Geography, Law or other cognate discipline, but relevant professional experience may be taken into account.

Exit after four taught modules with PG Diploma; or continue to dissertation for MLitt degree.

Course content

The MSc Strategic Studies provides you with ability to scrutinise world security issues, conflict, armed services, peace, international organisations and business around the world. The long-established degree which delivers a thorough examination and understanding of the theory and practice of the use of power and force to address national and international security objectives. Four taught modules: Strategic Theory; International Organisations and Use of Force; European Security; Global Security Issues. Summer dissertation of 12-15,000 words.
