The International Commercial Law LLM program at the University of Aberdeen allows you to choose from a range of courses across the whole spectrum of international commercial law areas. You will develop the skills, methodology and confidence to analyse problems arising in international commercial transactions. The programme has been carefully compiled to ensure you get the best skills to compete in the job market internationally.

You can study two different programmes depending upon which set of skills you wish to develop:

Courses for International Commercial Law with Dissertation include: Critical Legal Thinking and Scholarship, Oil and Gas Law, International Commercial Arbitration, International Commercial Arbitration in the Asia and Pacific, Applied Advocacy Skills, Comparative Contract Law for International Transactions, International Intellectual Property Framework and Challenges, Copyright and Patents, Private International Law - Jurisdiction Recognition and Enforcement, World Trade Organisation - Gatt, Cultural Property Issues - Law Art and Museums, Choice of Law for Business, Corporate Environmental Liability, Trade Marks and Brand Development, International Trade and Finance Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea, Commercialising Innovation and Law, Commercial Tax and Policy, International Investment Law and Arbitration in the Energy Sector (Many of these courses are optional and you take four choices)
