Course content

The programme equips the next generation of lawyers and civil servants in the growing area of international trade negotiation. Relationship building is an essential part to diplomacy and to business and the two often require each other in order for business to flourish and grow in international markets. You gain ability to analyse situations and think about the best scenarios and options avaiable, you learn about the World Trade Organisation and Gatt, the various differences in intellectual property law encountered in each country to protect and advise, arbitration and regulations in different countries to manage various situations.

Courses on campus include: Critical Legal Thinking and Scholarship, World Trade Organisation and Gatt, Intellectual Property Law, International Commercial Arbitration, Oil and Gas Law, International Commercial Arbitration in the Asia Pacific, Private International Law Jurisdiction in Business Transactions, International Trade and Finance Law, European Economic Law, Carriage of Goods by Sea, International Investment Arbitration in the Energy Sector, Choice of Law for Business, Corporate Environmental Liability, Trade Marks and Brand Development, Commercialising Innovation and Law, Cultural Property Issues Law Art and Museums, and your Dissertation. (Some courses are optional)
