First or upper second class honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
Months of entry
This programme leads to an Engineering Doctorate, equivalent to a PhD but with lots of practical experience and industry know-how. You will spend one year training and then three years in the research arm of a company.
The EngD in Digital Media is run by the national Centre for Digital Entertainment (CDE), a collaboration between the University of Bath and Bournemouth University. It creates innovative funded research and development projects for the games, animation, VFX, simulation and cultural industries.
At the CDE we embed doctoral researchers into companies to work on R&D projects to support the growth of the UK economy.
We offer fully-funded opportunities (subject to applicant eligibility) to gain a research degree while working in one of the UK's many games, visual effects, animation or other digital media companies.
