A Mathematical Sciences PhD is for graduates with an interest in developing their mathematical skills further and participating in scientific research, often with a view to a career in academic or industrial research themes.
In this programme, the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical Applied Mathematics at Bath (SAMBa) will form mathematicians with an overarching view that sees no separation between applied mathematics and statistics, and who are well versed in the language and approach of engaging with other academic disciplines and industry.
