Entry requirements

The course is designed for students seeking to pursue a Masters degree in Business but who only hold an Ordinary degree from a UK University and have achieved a minimum of 60 credits in the final year of study at degree level and attempted 330 credits. Applicants must have prior undergraduate Business and Management knowledge and skills equivalent to 60 credits at level 5 or above with a minimum of 15 credits at level 6.

This is a 'Bridging Course' designed for students with an ordinary degree from a UK university whose aim is to allow you to attain the Business and Management skills required for Master’s level study at the University of Bedfordshire.

It offers you the opportunity to engage in some academic research and apply business and management theories, concepts and frameworks through case studies which build on the knowledge and skills gained within a first degree.

The key aim is to introduce you to the research process in general terms and through a mixture of direct academic input, discussions amongst peers and self-directed learning to develop higher order knowledge and skills in business and management.

Career prospects

This course uses leading edge techniques of practice based education to develop and enhance transferrable skills and hence your employability. This means that whilst you are gaining academic knowledge, you are also developing practise expertise. Working on major tasks such as an individual Business Report gives you a broad opportunity to apply both your academic knowledge and your process and people skills.
