The Education Department is well established and is the second largest provider of post-secondary training for further and higher education in the UK. Teaching staff in the department have a wealth of experience of teaching in the post-compulsory sector and teacher training.
The PhD is the highest academic award of the University. It requires critical investigation and evaluation of an approved topic resulting in an independant and original contribution to knowledge and understanding of research methods appropriate to the chosen field.
