Course content

Education is a highly complex and increasingly competitive sector. Schools, colleges, universities and other training organisations are under constant pressure to achieve greater successes with fewer resources. The need for inspiring, effective and knowledgeable leaders and managers is greater than ever and a multitude of opportunities are available to appropriately qualified individuals.

Aimed at existing education professionals, this course offers in-depth knowledge and understanding of the management and leadership concepts essential in the educational arena, as well as an enhanced and critical awareness of current key issues in the sector. We offer a supportive environment in which you can explore interpersonal and organisational management issues and investigate the role of leaders and leadership in educational settings. We’ll encourage you to reflect on your own professional practice and guide you in your journey towards becoming a perceptive, responsive and decisive educational manager.

People are at the heart of education so you’ll study human resource management theory and practice including staff recruitment, retention and release. We also offer knowledge of key marketing concepts and strategies and how to deploy them effectively to maximise student enrolment in the increasingly competitive educational marketplace.
