Entry requirements

Applicants are required to be HPC registered and hold a physiotherapy degree or diploma. Overseas applicants should hold an equivalent qualification. Desirable - applicants will have access to a sports related placement.

Course content

The PG Cert in Sports Physiotherapy will equip physiotherapists with the fundamental principles of sports physiotherapy and provide CPD evidence appropriate to application for certified membership of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapy in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) Level 2.
Physiotherapists will gain knowledge and skills to enable them to work in a sports club or team environment, and deal with acute injury management through to complete rehabilitation. Students will also be encouraged to complete a certificated first aid course. Students may decide to progress to the PG Diploma or MSc in Rehabilitation Studies (Sports Physiotherapy).
