Entry requirements

The minimum academic qualification is the equivalent of a good first degree, from an approved university. Your PhD is supervised and examined in English, so you must be able to prove your fluency in the language. An IELTS overall score of 6.5 is required or TOEFL in which a score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based) or 94 (internet-based) is the minimum requirement. We would not expect you to prove your fluency in English if you hold a postgraduate or master's degree from the UK or another Anglophone country which has been completed in the last 3 years.
