Entry requirements

For entry to MSc Year 1 candidates require either a first degree Level 6 (NQF)/H (FHEQ)/NVQ4 equivalent qualifications CIPD Certificate of Personnel Practice (CPP) CIPD Certificate in Training Practice (CTP) or appropriate prior learning and experience. Most candidates will have, or be looking for, experience in the HR field. Exceptionally, candidates without such work experience, but looking to enter the HR profession, could be accepted provided they have a first degree. Line managers with extensive 'people management' needs would also be considered.

Course content

This programme is for current and aspiring HR specialists and line managers who are interested in the management and development of people. You can achieve an MSc in Personnel and Development and graduate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Alternatively by following either the 'fast-track' or 'full-time' route you can attain a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel and Development and graduate membership of the CIPD. The full-time programme can be completed in just one year by attending on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
