Entry requirements

The entry requirements listed here are our typical offer for this course. They should be used as a general guide.

Normally, a 2:2 honours degree or equivalent is required. A degree in any subject will be considered. Work experience is useful but not essential.

Neither GMAT nor GRE are required for this course. However, if you have taken either or both of these tests and achieved good scores, this may help to strengthen your application.

Applicants who hold an HND or Foundation degree equivalent can take our nine-month Business BSc top-up degree and then progress onto this Masters degree.

Course content

Our accredited Management MSc will prepare you for a wide range of careers in management with specialisms available in Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship and International Management.

Case studies, live client projects, company visits and the option of paid work experience help prepare you for management by putting the latest academic thinking and business strategies into practice. You will learn about the major functions of management and their integration.

This one-year course can be tailored to suit your individual strengths and career aspirations, including the option of an additional semester to study abroad. All students complete the same core modules covering the major functions of management, then from the end of the second term you will also have the option to specialise in one of five areas:

  1. Management (Entrepreneurship) MSc
  2. Management (Human Resource Management) MSc
  3. International Management MSc

Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), this course progresses you towards Chartered Manager status – the highest level that can be achieved in the management profession. You will also be eligible for membership to the Institute of Directors.

Information for international students

For non-native speakers of English
In order to benefit from, contribute to and enjoy the course, a good command of spoken and written English language is required. If English is not your first language, you will need English language proficiency equivalent to an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 5.5 in the other elements.

International students whose language skills do not match the IELTS scores set out here should consider applying for this course through the Extended Masters programme at the university's Language Institute.
