Course content
This programme will appeal to vets with one or two years' clinical experience who want to develop their clinical skills. As well as preparing you for further clinical training, the diploma will also develop your skills for a primary care setting.
The diploma lasts 12 months. There are two compulsory units and each unit carries equal weighting.
The goal is for students to consolidate and build on the clinical knowledge and skills gained from their undergraduate study and prior professional practice (eg the RCVS Professional Development Phase). Teaching will be delivered through a combination of directed clinical training, face-to-face presentations and seminars, online resources and self-directed learning. You will also receive training in evidence-based veterinary medicine.
